Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration signed a five-year, $44 million contract with Affiliated Computer Services.

Under the terms of the deal, Affiliated Computer services will pursue third party recovery sources such as commercial online health insurance tech plans, Medicare, casualty, trust, online estate and annuity plans. The tech program is designed to save the online state’s Medicaid program money by identifying alternative insurance sources prior to paying online claims, the tech release said.
AHCA manages Florida’s $16 billion Medicaid program. It also licenses tech and regulates health care facilities and health maintenance organizations and publishes health care data and statistics.
